Why Downsizing Your Living Space Is a Good Idea

Downsizing your home is not something most people think about. In our teenage years, we tend to dream about our big future home and how many rooms it will have; how much money we’ll make and how it will all go.

Fast forward to your twenties, and real life has set in. We are in school or working full-time, and we suddenly realize it’s not as easy to have what we dreamed of in our teens.

For me, that’s exactly how it was. I had my dream house picked out and figured there was nothing wrong with five or six bedrooms and a nice front porch on a big lot. However, now that I’m older, I don’t want that anymore. I find myself wanting to have a much smaller house than I pictured as a child. I grew up in a nice average house, three bedrooms, backyard, and in an older neighborhood that was perfect for my family.

Now I want to get back to that, and here are a few ways you can do it!
